Tag multiple emails

This could be much better. Being able to tag only emails within lists is nice, but ideally one should be able to tag any and all emails in order to categorise them properly. It is very inefficient to do this email by email...

We've just enabled the new feature allowing bulk tagging and deletion within items lists.

Could this functionality serve as a suitable workaround for your needs?

And, two kinds of tags: "Projects" and "Tasks" tags. For example, if you are working for a client, XYZ Corporation, you could add the "XYZ Corp." project tag to emails you receive or send. "Projects" tags could be assigned colors from a color wheel. Then, if you are producing a brochure for that client, you could add "Design" and "Print" tags to those emails dealing with those discrete tasks.

I would like to be able to tag multiple emails both before and after they have been sent to group them.

when "snoozing multiple emails" returns then MailButler will have gained back its former glory

Absolutely the most useful improvement, including adding notes to multiple emails. Above all having rules that could add the above to incoming emails.

Yes, automatically adding tags to multiple emails in the same train would be helpful. It is tedious with several exchanges of emails on the go with different contacts having to manually backtrack.

I have exactly the same issue and am getting fed up now as I have been asking for this for well over a year - was promised but has never been delivered.

Absolutely required. I would actually use the Tags feature if the tag stuck to the whole conversation, rather than needing to be reapplied to each email.

I have requested this feature when tags were first introduced, but there has not been any enthusiasm for this at MB. It would seem obvious that this is an important feature to have for many users and from a development perspective it is surely not difficult tom implement. Hopefully someone is reading these posts and actions them...

Absolutely agree - I was told over a year ago that this would be addressed and decided to be patient but have now decided not to renew because of this and inability to work with smart folders; both of which I had with my previous (discontinued) solution.

Absolutely required!!! I just tried out using Tags today, and was shocked to find it wasn't built to do this automatically. Ultimately I wanted to try using Tags to track project correspondence, as I am a manufacturers agent (essentially a middleman), so I am looking for a way to better manage and track various project communications going back and forth between the manufacturer, the customer and myself. If anyone has any thoughts or best practices on how to do this then I'm all ears...

Agreed. MailTags had this time-saving feature and miss it.

I definitely need this too. Actually this is the ONLY reason for me to buy Mailbuttler. All the other stuff is irrelevant to me. Notes, tasks and tags on entire mail threads.

This is similar to my request, I would also like to automate assign tags with the automation process
