MAILBUTLER could save you personal Life
Hello. I have just acquired MAILBUTLER and am very interested in the ChatGPT integration you have done.
I would like to propose a feature that would reduce the stress of people who receive professional emails (and why not in private life as well).
In the professional world, we deal with clients and professionals (e.g., lawyers, tax authorities, service providers) who write emails in an aggressive tone. As a result, reading emails has become a real nightmare. Indeed, reading just one email in the wrong tone can ruin your entire day. We then go home in the evening, and our spouse and children suffer because we are still thinking about the client who sent us the email we wish we hadn't read.
I propose creating an additional feature that the user could customize at will to change the tone of the received message and make it pleasant to read.
The ChatGPT "command/prompt" could be, for example: "Thank you for rephrasing the received message so that it is polite and kind. If there are direct or implied threats, rephrase them so that they don't irritate me and don't keep looping in my head. Also rephrase any elements that could be irritating, such as sentences written in a condescending, patronizing, or aggressive tone. Finally, if there are biases that could irritate me, rephrase those as well. The goal is for me to be able to read the message with pleasure."
This prompt is obviously imperfect, but it's just an example. It would probably be best to allow the user to write their own prompt.
Lastly, this "kind" phrasing should be automated for the receipt of each message. Indeed, the idea would be not to see the initial message (unless otherwise desired).
I don't know if I've been clear. I think this feature would be surprising, and it seems to me that it should not be more difficult to implement than the other features already present and based on GPT language. To date, no one is proposing this idea, and believe me, I've looked!
As for excessive GPT credit consumption due to the systematic modification of all incoming emails (with the possibility to disable for certain emails), I would be willing to pay a supplement, as the stress generated by reading emails in professional life is truly a living hell.
