1. In Outlook 2016/2019, parents folders of folders containing unread messages fail to be marked in any way. This is absolute non sense, especially in the case one is using rules to classify messages. When parent folders are not opened up, unread messages are simply hidden.
2. Also, inexplicably, conditional formatting has been given up on mac versions while Microsoft advertises on the 'ergonomic' feature on Windows. Incidentally, colors are less and less used in Outlook while they are of course of great help for organizing.
3. Another very convenient functionality that was included in older versions of Outlook (2011) is the possibility, using a rule, to automatically save attachments meeting certain conditions to a given folder. This has been given up too and is not implemented in Mail.
4. On Apple Mail, the possibility of deleting/leaving on the server any given message is missing.
5. On both emailers, it is now impossible to define the frequency of checking mail per account.
