IOS Send button

I understand the plan is to remove the SEND button on the iOS app for Mailbutler, and only allow that feature on the MacOS version that integrates with Apple Mail. For me, that would remove much of the utility of the application. I see no purpose to this change and force me to look for another application to use on my iOS devices.

We recently made the decision to remove the sending capabilities from our mobile app. We know that some of our users are unhappy about this upcoming change. This is not a decision we’re making lightly, but rather one that we’re forced to make. The mobile app has not worked consistently for some of our users. After trying to fix these issues, we’ve come to the conclusion that we simply don’t have the capacity or manpower to maintain a mobile app with sending functions properly. Several of you have suggested that we integrate Mailbutler directly in to the Apple Mail app on your phone. This is actually not possible, and the only alternative is to create and maintain a standalone email application, which we don’t have the resources to maintain. Because of all of these things, we’re simplifying the mobile app so that its primary function is a companion app. You’ll receive notifications from any emails that you’ve sent with Mailbutler from your desktop. And of course, you’ll still be able to add Notes, Tasks, and Follow Up Reminders. If you’re someone who subscribed to Mailbutler because of the mobile app, and who will be heavily impacted by this change, please direct an email to Claire at support@mailbutler.io.

Why would they do that?
