Contacts being discontinued - no longer able to click the contact and go straight to the card from drafts...

Has anyone else heard that Mailbutler is discontinuing the Contacts feature? For me, this is a huge loss. The only reason I’ve stuck with Mailbutler all these years is because I could quickly pull up client-specific tags and notes right inside my email draft. It gave me instant recall of important details, links to shared docs, and a running history of our communication—all without switching tools. I could care less about things like best time to email the person. I don’t connect Mailbutler to my computer’s contacts. I create unique Mailbutler contacts for each client, tag them for quick reference, and keep notes that make my workflow efficient and organized. Without this, Mailbutler is just another delivery tracker—and honestly, there are plenty of other tools that do that. If this feature really is gone, I’m going to have to start looking for alternatives. But before I do, I’d love to know: does anyone else feel the same? Wasn’t this one of the most useful, unique things Mailbutler offered? If enough of us speak up, maybe we can get the team to rethink this.

Julie, thank you so much for your feedback! Our recent restructuring of the drafts UI is just the beginning. We want to provide as much context as possible when drafting a tailored email for your recipients. Therefore, we would like to better understand your workflow and how you used certain features in the past. As you are saying yourself, so far you needed to navigate to a specific contact to find out more information about them. With our new UI we want to provide you all of the context without extra navigational steps. We definitely plan to bring back the list of recent emails you (or one of your collaborators) exchanged with each of the recipients of a draft. It will be an extension of the already existing "Last interaction" insight, which we show in the sidebar for drafts. Whether we re-add notes/tasks and/or tags to recipients, depends on whether our users see value in such aspects.

Fabian Thank you for following up. I do not care at all about things like the best time or day to send an email or how long it takes them to open. I guess local time is interesting, but really has no bearing on when I will respond to a message. I use the contacts to be a quick reference area for my clients. I use the tags as a reminder of things like allergies they have, where they are located, etc. I use the notes area within their contact information to have the link to a google sheet I create specifically for them. I need to be able to quickly create a new contact from an email, add any tags I want to reference, and include a note with the link to their google sheet. Previously, when I created a draft email, I was able to click on the email address in the MailBulter side bar and it asked me, do you want to create a new contact. Then I could click yes and add the info I mentioned above. Now, it is very difficult for me to get to that information.

Fabian My list of contacts if VERY long and it is incredible difficult to scroll through all contacts to find the one I am looking for. There is no option to look up by name. Also, I do not apply notes by individual email but rather want a note to apply to the contact.

I want to be convinced that contacts is a worthy feature, but I don’t really understand the value of its feature set or how its workflow is supposed help me.

Yeah, it seems that MB is falling behind with irrelevant features (or the removal of good features), for me - the removal of Snooze was the death.
